Terms & Conditions
To maintain a high standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect the property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.
Use contrary to the terms and conditions outlined may result in loss of your security bond and/or additional payments and immediate termination and eviction without refund.Payment of Your Accommodation and Security Bond
To ensure that the guest fulfils responsibilities associated with the booking; a deposit is required to be paid by the person booking the accommodation. Lucinda Holiday Rentals reserves the right to enforce the terms and conditions as set within this website.Payments must be received in Australian $ net of any bank or other transaction charges.
Accepted payment methods are Direct Bank Deposit, Visa Credit Card or MasterCard Credit Card.
A credit card surcharge of 2.7% will be levied to cover transaction costs associated with credit card payments. The surcharge is not applicable to authorisation holds unless a transaction is made. Personal cheques or business cheques are not accepted.
- You must be 18 years or over and agree to take full responsibility for the temporary rental of the property.
- For minimum stay periods payment in full is required at time of booking.
- All bookings made within 14 days of arrival date must be paid in full at time of booking.
- Bookings in excess of minimum stay periods - a 50% deposit of accommodation costs is required to be received within 4 calendar days of Lucinda Holiday Rentals accepting your booking request for the booking to be confirmed.
- For Peak period bookings the balance of payment is required to be received one month prior to arrival date, or, if booking is made less than one month prior to arrival date then full payment is required at the time of booking. If these conditions are not met Lucinda Holiday Rentals has the right to cancel the booking and attempt to re-let.
- During Non Peak periods the balance of your accommodation costs must be received 14 calendar days prior to your arrival date. If not Lucinda Holiday Rentals has the right to cancel the booking and attempt to re-let
- Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit is received.
- Please ensure payments are made within the specified time limits or your accommodation request will be cancelled automatically without notice to you.
- Ensure you allow sufficient time for bank transfers to be processed within required time frames.
- Payment of the rental deposit constitutes the clients acceptance of all the Terms and Conditions of Lucinda Holiday Rentals.
- You must present to the Accommodation on arrival either the same credit card which was used to make the deposit payment; or a passport; or an Australian driver’s license.
- A Security Bond applies to all accommodation and is subject to terms and conditions below.
Security Bond
An ‘authorisation hold’ of the security bond amount will be made one day before your arrival date and cancelled within 3 days of your departure date, subject to terms and conditions as outlined on the Lucinda Holiday Rentals website: The bond is ‘on hold’ on a credit card, Visa and MasterCard are accepted only. If any terms and conditions are not met the appropriate cost will be charged against the credit card. A credit card authorisation must be provided to Lucinda Holiday Rentals upon confirmation of your Booking, - the card must belong to the guest booking the accommodation.If the credit card supplied is declined, management reserves the right to cancel the booking and you agree that all monies paid will be forfeited.
The security bond of $700 is designed to cover any damage, loss or expense incurred by Management as a result of you or any member of your party breaching the Terms & conditions of Lucinda Holiday Rentals.
Examples include but are not limited to extra Guests or visitors beyond those declared and / or any breakage, damage, cleaning requirements, key replacement, lost / stolen or mistakenly taken items which are not returned, the repair or replacement value of damage or loss to the property (internal & external) regardless of the amount, and you are also liable for any time and effort involved to rectify the situation. Should additional costs be incurred beyond the security bond charged, you agree that all costs incurred by Lucinda Holiday Rentals will be paid by you.
Arrival / Departure Times
Arrival - Premises are available from 2.00pm on the day of your arrival.Departure - the property must be left in a similar state to its condition and cleanliness on arrival. Check-out time is 10.00 am at the latest. We reserve the right to charge a fee equivalent to an extra night for late checkouts.
Cleanliness
We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of the accommodation. All units are checked for cleanliness prior to your arrival. As you are staying in 'self-contained' accommodation you are expected to keep the unit clean & tidy during your stay.
Lucinda Holiday Rentals supplies cleaning equipment and associated cleaning products to enable you to maintain the unit in a clean state. Additionally it is an expectation that just prior to your departure you will ensure your unit(s) are cleaned. The only exception is bed linen and towels which will be cleaned and changed when you depart.
- Optional Extra* - If you prefer not to end your holiday by cleaning the unit, you have the option at the time of booking your accommodation to have Lucinda Holiday Rentals pre-book a cleaner ($75) to ensure the unit is left in the same condition of cleanliness as it was when you arrived. Unfortunately the occasional abuse requires us to state that you are still required and expected to maintain general cleanliness throughout your stay. A pre-booked cleaner does not entitle you to not clean your dirty dishes and kitchen mess etc. Guests are expected to maintain a reasonable state of cleanliness during their stay and if a pre-booked cleaner has excessive cleaning requirements after your departure then additional cleaning charges of AUD $45 per hour of part there of will be applied to your security bond via your credit card.
- If you have not pre-booked a cleaner you will find a cleaning requirement check list inside the unit. If management deems additional cleaning is required after your departure you will be charged AUD $45 per hour or part there of for additional cleaning time of the unit you had occupied and the charges will be applied to your security bond via your credit card.
Your unit choice is subject to availability. Unit changes can be made at the management’s discretion. Lucinda Holiday Rentals will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.
Smoking is not permitted inside the accommodation. - Failure to adhere to this term & condition will result in an additional cleaning & deodorising fee of $200 non-negotiable. Smokers are requested to use ashtrays supplied outside; the gardens are not an ashtray!
You are requested to follow the guidelines regarding boat parking, filleting and disposal of fish on the property and any other ‘house keeping instructions; as may be found in your accommodation or advised verbally by management.
Management reserves the wright to enter guest accommodation to close windows during heavy rain periods; to turn off lights and air-conditioners left on when property is unattended.
Theft and Loss are the tenants’ responsibility during their stay. We are not liable under any circumstances for loss, theft or damage to your property/ belongings, or personal injury. We advise you to purchase travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances such as injury and/ or loss/ damage to your personal belongings.
The number of people occupying the premises is not to exceed those declared at time of booking.
Lucinda Holiday Rentals provides you with an initial complementary supply of soap, toilet paper, and kitchen detergent along with coffee, tea and sugar. However once that runs out you must supply your own.
In the event that any appliance breaks down, every reasonable endeavour will be made to repair, replace or hire an alternative. The owner accepts no responsibility for any inconvenience. Lucinda and Ingham have limited access to tradespersons and your patience is sought should this occur.
The premises are let to you for domestic holiday purposes only and for the period stated on the invoice.
Booked guests remain responsible for visitors. Visitors are required to depart before 11pm.
Please ensure there is no disturbance to neighbours, other guests, no undue noise, and no behaviour likely to cause damage to property or offence or embarrassment to others. Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited.
Furniture, fixtures and fittings are not to be altered or moved between rooms or properties.
Goods left at property - If items are not claimed within 14 days they will be given to a local charity. If you want items posted back we will do so at your cost.
Cancellations and Refunds
If you wish to vary or cancel your Booking, please phone us immediately on 0447 776 764Any Refunds given will be made by the same payment method in which they were originally made.
Non Peak Bookings;
Bookings cancelled in excess of 45 days of your booked arrival date will be refunded any payments received less a $50 administration charge.
Your deposit is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation of a booking between 45 days to 15 days from your original booked arrival date unless the accommodation is able to be re-let for the entire booked period. Any optional extra pre-booked cleaning will be refunded. If a refund is made due to the property being re-let then a $50 administration fee will apply and any refund due will be paid to you on the original booked arrival date or when a new booking has paid in full.
Bookings cancelled 14 days or less prior to booked arrival date will forfeit all payments received unless the accommodation is able to be re-let for the entire booked period. Any optional extra pre-booked cleaning will be refunded. If a refund is made due to the property being re-let then a $50 administration fee will apply and any refund due will be paid to you on the original booked arrival date or when a new booking has paid in full.
Peak Period Bookings;
Bookings cancelled in excess of 61 days of your booked arrival date will be refunded any payments received less a $50 administration charge.
Your deposit is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation of a booking between 60 days to 31 days from your original booked arrival date unless the accommodation is able to be re-let for the entire booked period. Any optional extra pre-booked cleaning will be refunded. If a refund is made due to the property being re-let then a $50 administration fee will apply and any refund due will be paid to you on the original booked arrival date or when a new booking has paid in full.
Bookings cancelled 30 days or less prior to booked arrival date will forfeit all payments received unless the accommodation is able to be re-let for the entire booked period. Any optional extra pre-booked cleaning will be refunded. If a refund is made due to the property being re-let then a $50 administration fee will apply and any refund due will be paid to you on the original booked arrival date or when a new booking has paid in full
All guests are subject to the terms and conditions as stated on this website, any eviction will result in the forfeiture of any accommodation costs paid.
Variations to bookings
We have a minimum night’s stay policy of 2 nights and extended minimum stay periods during peak holiday periods. No refund will be made for a variation made less than 14 days to your arrival date whether it is number of nights to be stayed or number of guests.Lucinda Holiday Rentals has no control over events such as the weather and road closures due to accidents or flooding from your prior location to your arrival or departure at your accommodation in Lucinda or to accessing your next chosen route of travel therefore; regardless if the decision to arrive/leave is a personal made choice or a forced choice option guests who fail to check-in, guests who check-in later than booked, or decide to leave earlier than booked, will not receive a refund for days not stayed, this is regardless of the circumstances.
We suggest you consider travel insurance to protect you against any unforeseen changes to your travel plans as the refund terms and conditions will not be negotiated.
Unavailability
If the property becomes unavailable for your occupancy due to unforeseen circumstances for example: fire, malicious damage, storm damage etc. then management will attempt to inform you immediately and reasonable efforts will be made to help you to secure alternative accommodation of a comparable standard, failing which any monies paid will be refunded in full.
